News | Abuja Writers Forum Hosts 3 Writers | The Arts-Muse Fair


The Abuja Writers Forum (AWF) will this Saturday, October 28 host the Editor-in-Chief of the Blueprint newspaper, Hajiya Zainab Suleiman Okino alongside Olumide Olaniyan and Sidney Okwoche at Aso Hall of Nanet Suites, Ekiti House, Abuja.

A release signed by the Forum’s Public Relations Officer, Edith Yassin, said Hajiya Zainab Okino is expected to give a talk on the “challenge of newspaper publishing in Northern Nigeria, the social media and creating space for literature” at the October edition of the Guest Writers Forum.

Mrs. Okino is a seasoned journalist, columnist and currently the Editor-in-Chief with the BluePrint Newspapers, Abuja.

Olumide Olaniyan is a development specialist, an author, satirist, public speaker, and an award winning poet. Olaniyan is the author of the poetry book Lucidity of Absurdity, published in 2017.
He was the winner of Mandela Day Poetry Competition in 2016. He also has several short stories to his credit.

Sidney Okwoche is a dynamic rock musician, guitarist, songwriter and environmentalist and hails from Benue State.
Okwoche is passionately committed to promoting conservation and environmental sustainability through music and creative arts, with the artistically rated debut Album titled “HOPE DEY” which exclusively focus on environmental issues. He is the founder of the green movement called Conservation Conversation.

He has performed in several conferences, seminars, symposia, youth campaigns across Nigeria and beyond to send across the message of hope through lyrics and calling for environmental sustainable conservation of natural resources.


The Session will also feature a raffle-draw for books between 4:00 and 7:00 pm and attendance open to the public.
