Iklima Babangida's new collection titled 'Diversity in Colors', tells Kaduna's story of inclusion, community and unity in its diversity.  The fashion in Kaduna is a living testament to the cultural richness that defines the city, reflecting a harmonious blend of various ethnicities. Though the city has been wooed by forces of division for decades, the determination in the eyes of merchants at bustling markets, the vibrant colors in the marketplace, the art on the bridges and flyovers, and the colors of burning homes, buried bodies,and dreams in Kaduna mirror the resilience of a city that thrives amidst challenges. Photomicrography Competition is open to anyone with an interest in microscopy and photography. The video competition, entitled Small World in Motion encompasses any movie or digital time-lapse photography taken through the microscope. Nikon’s Small World is regarded as the leading forum for showcasing the beauty and complexity of life as seen through the light microscope. Eligibility and Rules: The Nikon Small World Competition is open to anyone with an interest in photography through the microscope. Truly international in scope, entries have been received from the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, Latin America, Asia, and Africa. Winners have included both professionals and hobbyists. Anyone above the age of 18 years is eligible, with the exception of employees of Nikon, their families, the contest judges, and individuals engaged in the manufacture or sale of microscopes, related accessories or photographic equipment. 2nd Annual Magnum Photography Awards Announced

41 outstanding photographers from across the world have been selected as recipients of the 2nd annual Magnum Photography Awards 2017. The award aims to recognize some of the most accomplished and talented photographers working today. All the 41 photographers’ work will be shown at a digital exhibition at The Photographers’ Gallery in London later this year. In addition, the 12 final winners will receive $27,000 in cash awards as well as vouchers to participate in a Magnum photographer’s workshop somewhere in the world. The photographers worked on varied subjects and projects that include photojournalism, documentary, portraits, street photography, nature and humanity. The selection jury consisted of Magnum photographers, world-renowned curators, and experts from organizations like National Geographic and Aperture Click here to see details of the photographers and their projects.  

Photo Fair: Young Mubarak Reigns!

While some people may argue with the naturality of these photos, t his 16 year old photographer is doing what he terms PHO(NE)TOGRAPHY, which to him is capturing life in its true form through the lens of his phone.   He's got a collection which he hopes to publish into an album.   We present to the public some of Mubarak's works so we could all see life from the probing eyes of the lad. Although the young pho(ne)tographer is already having his photos watermarked with " Mubys Reign ", we are keen to see where his reign will take us. Come and see!
