Call For Participation | Elite Muslim Writing Workshop | Muslim for Family Development and Advancement Initiative & Erget Media Concept.

Muslim for Family Development and Advancement Initiative in collaboration with Erget Media Concept (Publishers of Kiddies Digest) invite secondary school students between the ages of 10 and 18 to participate in essay writing workshop in December, 2017. 

To qualify for the workshop, interested candidates are to write an essay of not less than 250 words on a topic “My Favorite Parent”. Essay should state why one parent is favoured over the other. It should also include the family structure.

The essay can either be a fiction or based on real events. Subsequently, top fifty entries would be selected for a second stage of impromptu writing from which the top 30 candidates will be selected for a week mentorship programme on:

* Creative fiction and non-fiction

* Essay and feature story writing

* Project management and use of computer tools

* Editing and publishing and Islamising Literature.

Important Note:

The workshop is non-residential; therefore, it would be the duty of parents or guardians of selected participants to transport them to the venue of workshop between 8am and 4pm daily.
