Call for Entries | Olympus Global Open Photo Contest 2017/18 for amateur & professional photographers.

Acceptance of entries for 2018 Olympus Global Open Photo Contest has commenced. The competition is open to every amateur and professional photographer from any country or region around the world.

For the past 100 years of existence, Olympus has been recognized as a pioneer and innovator that has focused on contributing to society by making people’s lives healthier, safer and more fulfilling.

Rules of Registration:

Anyone who registers to enter can participate.

Interested entrants should go to Enter or My Page to register.

Those who entered past Olympus Global Open Photo Contests must register again.

Categories:

Olympus Global Open Photo Contest 2018 will feature the following six categories:

1. Getting Outside

Here an entrant can enter a photo that conveys the joy, freedom, or excitement of discovery he or she  feels when he or she is outside.

2. Art

An entrant can enter a creative photo that showcases his or her unique artistic visions.

3. Power of Life

In this category, an entrants should enter a powerful photo that conveys how beautiful, vibrant, healthy, and full of energy life can be.

4. Light

In this context, light can take on many characters. It can be vivid, faint, warm, and spontaneous. Therefore, entrants should enter a photo showing one of the many faces of light.

5. Stories

In this category, entrant can enter a photo that tells a whole story all in a single image.

6. Connections to Cherish

Here, entrant can enter a heart-warming photo that expresses the love and peace of mind that family and friends provide him or her with.

How to Start a Photography Business

Guideline for entry:

1. Only online entries will be eligible.
2. Eentrant can enter from the Categories section.
3. Anyone submitting an entry is asked to register a username.

Number of Entries:

1. Each entrant may submit up to 5 photos for each category.
2. And each image must be in JPEG or JPG format, and 15 megabytes or smaller.

Prizes:

Prizes will be presented to one Grand Prize winner and 13 winners per theme.
