Are you a young African filmmaker looking for an international training

together with the Cultural Department of the City of Munich and in cooperation
with the University for Television and Film Munich (HFF) offers a Residency
Programme accompanied by training in scriptwriting, financing and
pitching.
The Residency at Ebenböckhaus (2nd March
– 14th May, 2018)
The DOK.network
Africa residency is aimed at supporting filmmakers from African countries to
develop their feature-length narrative documentary film projects at the
international level. Thanks to our funding partners we can offer two
scholarships including travel costs to and from Munich, a mentoring and
training programme, monthly allowance of 1,200 Euros and accommodation in the
artist-in-residence premises at the Ebenböckhaus of the City of Munich. The
residency programme will last from 2nd March until 14th May,
2018.
The
Training Programme
As part of the Residency, the training programme in cooperation with the
University for Television and Film Munich (HFF) will include workshops and
mentoring in the following areas:
Treatment development
Scriptwriting
Budgeting and financing
Pitching training and the production of a pitch
The International Office of HFF will support the residents during their
stay in Munich and facilitate access to university.
Pitching at DOK.fest München
The residents will have the opportunity to pitch their projects at the
industry platform of DOK.fest München, the DOK.forum Marketplace (3rd –
5th May, 2018). At selected roundtables, all participating
filmmakers will be invited to discuss and further develop their projects with
producers, commissioning editors, distributors and sales agents especially
interested in African content. The objective is to facilitate new
co-productions through targeted matchmaking. The residents will get full
accreditation for the 33rd DOK.fest München from 2nd to
13th May, 2018.
