Poet-Today: Adema Damilola

Image
The wind brings messages in its flight. We perceive these messages in different ways. Adema Damilola, our Poet-Today writes about the whirlwind in all its wild ways. The Whirlwind of The Northern Way Voo and voo its sound goes, Kick and jam in the airways, The tussle of the loots and chaffs, Hit all its way that come, Blurred and dimmed humans In view at the display Of its prowess. Even the animates scurried, Many lost in the lost of abode, Pregnant women almost lay bare When it tossed their attire adrift, Children in tears as The way to home they lost. Until now, I never subdue the thinking Of my little hut Blown off and made homeless, My little head and hope. Never and ever will I wish for one. Of course, till today, I bear the loss of our meeting. Oh! northern wind, Many will remember you For nakedness, Many for homelessness, Many for blindness, Many for orphan-hood, But the land will always Smile
