As part of efforts to enhance indigenous writing in Hausa Language, Makarantar Malam Bambadiya and Pleasant Library and Books , Katsina, are set to launch the maiden edition of an annual Hausa Short Story Writing Competition, mainly to focus on issues concerning the Hausa people and Nigeria as a whole. According to organizers, the competition is open to both male and female Hausa writers across the world. At the end of submissions, the best 3 writers will be handsomely rewarded, while 15 best written works will be compiled and published. The released guideline for submission requires interested writers to send not more 500 words excerpt of their short stories to bambadiya2017@gmail.com latest by 15 October 2017. Subsequently, the best 45 written excerpts will be selected by the month of December 2017.
